Tom has spent most of his career on the staff or board of nonprofit organizations. He believes their independence gives nonprofits the best chance at creating change. His experience has ranged from community health centers to environmental organizations, educational institutions, and back again. The author of four books, including For People, Not for Profit: The History of Fenway Community Health Center, Tom graduated from Princeton University and Harvard Business School.
